Optical Coherence Tomography: Its Role in Daily Dermatological Practice
Lutz Schmitz, Uwe Reinhold, Erhard Bierhoff, Thomas Dirschka

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive, tomographic imaging technique which generates high-resolution in-vivo images up to mid-dermal layers. Due to continuous technological improvements, OCT is moving from research projects into daily dermatological practice. It can complement other imaging methods like high-frequency ultrasound or confocal microscopy. (2013)
